Install AxiGate
One command puts AxiGate on the computer where your agents run. It is free, needs no account, and is the same program whichever way you use it.

| Install AxiGate on your own computer or server |
On a Mac or Linux
Open a terminal on the computer where your agents run, and paste this.
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/axigatelabs/axigate-finops/main/install.sh | sh
It downloads the right build for that computer, checks it arrived intact, and puts axigate-finops in a folder on your PATH, so you can run it from anywhere.
On Windows
The installer is for Mac and Linux. On Windows, download the Windows zip from the release page instead, unzip it and use the axigate-finops program inside.
Check a download
The installer checks each download against its SHA-256 for you. To check one by hand, download the archive for your computer and checksums.txt from the release page into one folder, and run this there. On Linux, use the sha256sum line in place of the shasum one.
shasum -a 256 --ignore-missing -c checksums.txt sha256sum --ignore-missing -c checksums.txt
OK means that archive matches the list. If it says anything else, don't run that download.
AxiGate's release workflow on GitHub also signs every release it builds, with no stored key. Once those releases are published, checksums.txt.sigstore.json on the release page is the signature over checksums.txt, and each archive comes with a list of the Go modules it was built from.
Check it worked
Ask it for its version. If it answers, AxiGate is installed.

Running the same installer again later gets you the newest version. It is free every time.
What next
Pick the way in that fits how you work.
- Watch AxiGate stop a runaway agent: a two-minute demo with invented data, then your own agent with a limit.
- Bring every machine into one place: each computer's gateway reports to one workspace, and the spend adds up together.
- Put a team on one gateway: one shared server, one set of limits and one record, with a key for each person.
With a hosted workspace, make a key for each computer on Connect a gateway. It gives you the exact command to start with, that computer's key already in it, and shows the key only then.
In your own workspace this is Connect a gateway. Start free to get one.
Recap
