If something looks wrong
The problems people run into most, each with one thing to check first. The detail is folded away under each one, for when the first check isn't enough.
Nothing shows up
Usually the calls aren't reaching the gateway. What to check depends on where AxiGate runs for you.
Check that the gateway was started with a key from Connect a gateway, and that the key is still listed there. Revoking or replacing a key stops it at once; each computer's key is listed by its name and its first characters, with when it last sent anything.
In your own workspace this is Connect a gateway. Start free to get one.
Then check the range switch under the page title. Anything older than the range you're looking at is still there, just not in this view.
Calls fail with a key error
Check the provider key your agent or code sends. AxiGate passes it to the provider unchanged and never stores it.
A run was stopped and you didn't expect it
Open that run from Runs. The top of its page names the limit it hit and the call where it happened.
A key is paused
The gateway refuses that key's calls and says why in each refusal. A key at its daily limit works again at midnight UTC on its own.
You can't sign in, or you're asked to confirm your email
Hosted FreeTeamBusinessIf you forgot your password, choose Forgot your password? on the sign-in page and give the address you signed up with. If it has an account, we email it a link to choose a new password. The link works once, for one hour, and setting the new password signs the account out everywhere. If the page says to write to us instead, write to axigatelabs@gmail.com from that address.
Signed in, but asked to confirm your email address first? Open the link in the email we sent when you signed up. Until then you can look around, but you cannot make ingest keys or start a paid plan. Resend the email, on the Needs a look list, sends a new link; the one before it stops working.
The numbers don't match the provider's bill
Bring in the provider's bill and compare it with what was recorded, month by month. Close the month against the invoice shows how, on the hosted service or on your own machines.
Recap
- Most problems are an address or a key: check what the gateway printed when it started.
- A stopped run's page names the limit it hit; raise the limit where it was set.
- A key at its daily limit works again at midnight UTC on its own.
